Dial Up setup for Apple OS X

Macintosh OSX Dial-Up Instructions

1. Click on the Apple icon in the upper left corner of the screen and select the "System Preferences..." option

2. In the System Preferences window, click on the Network icon. Then, click on the TCP/IP tab  and set "Configure" to "Using PPP."  Leave the "Domain Name Servers" and "Search Domains" section empty.

3. Now click on the PPP tab. Under Service Provider enter "Fire2Wire."  Under Telephone Number enter your Fire2Wire access number.  If you do not know your access number, click here for dial-up and here for dial-up plus.  Enter your Fire2Wire user name under Account Name and enter your password under Password. Check "Save Password" if you want to save your password for future use.   Once you click Save, you are finished setting it up.

4. Whenever you want to connect to Fire2Wire, you'll need to launch the "Internet Connect" application. You can find it by clicking on the "Go" menu, and selecting "Applications," or by clicking the Finder in the Dock and clicking the "Applications" button. Click on the "Internet Connect" icon to open the window, and once the Connection window is up, just hit the "Connect" button to connect.

Now that you are able to connect to the Internet, maybe you would like to set up your email client?

Or perhaps access your email anywhere without the need to set anything up ?
